What does Pagesjaunes Emails Scraper do?
Pagesjaunes Emails Scraper works in two steps.
1. In the first step, based on the keyword and location you enter, it simulates a human search within Octoparse’s built-in browser, captures the search results list, and extracts data from both the listing pages and the detail pages. (This is because email addresses usually do not appear directly on Yellow Pages websites, so we need the second step.)
2. In the second step, using the URLs collected in the first step, the scraper goes to each corresponding website and extracts the website address as well as any contact or social media information directly visible on the homepage. If you wish to perform a deeper search (for example, scanning subpages like “Contact Us”), you can use the Contact Details Scraper template — see our FAQ for details.

1. Why is the number of extracted emails lower than expected?
- If your keyword is more personal-oriented rather than business/industry-related, the search results may not contain many emails.
- Some emails are not shown on the homepage but hidden under “Contact” or similar subpages.
2. How can I maximize the number of emails extracted?
- Use the Site_du_business field (website URL) as input for the Contact Details Scraper template.
- You can configure it to crawl deeper levels (e.g., 1 subpage).

3. What’s the difference between this template and Pagesjaunes Business Info Scraper?
- Pagesjaunes Emails Scraper combines both Business Info Scraper and Contact Details Scraper.
- Previously, you had to extract websites first with Business Info Scraper and then manually re-enter them into Contact Details Scraper. Now, it’s all automated in one template.
- If you only need Yellow Pages basic info (without emails), the Business Info Scraper is a cheaper alternative.
4. Why does the task keep running without showing results?
- The template runs in two steps:
- Step 1: Extracts business info from Yellow Pages (check progress in “subtask → étape 1”).
- Step 2: Visits each website to extract emails and contacts.
- Only after step 2 is completed and merged with step 1 will the results appear.
- If you don’t see data yet, it may still be in step 1.
